The new Zwan album comes out today. That's the new band that's half of Smashing Pumpkins (including Billy). You can listen to the whole thing for free at http://www.vh1.com and get your early '90s groove on.
Wedding plans continue apace. This weekend I'll be planning the menu, unfortunately without the aid of Brooke, who has to work. She said, "You know what I like." I hope this is true. Yesterday Brooke contacted some of the bridesmaids and sorted stuff out. I, meanwhile, finally got off my ass and chose a best man: Andy Taylor. The other groomsmen will be contacted shortly, and shortly after that I'll be sending out invitations. If you don't get one, it means I hate you. Just kidding! It means that it's a small wedding and I have a huge family, damn it. For the record, I'm profoundly sorry, but gifts are still welcome.
Deuce has been hard at work developing a sitcom pilot for one of his classes. I've been giving him feedback in a misguided attempt to be creative vicariously through him. He managed to come up with a brilliant premise (which I won't relay here because of prying eyes. I'm looking at you, Darren Starr!) that I hope becomes a real TV show some day. Unfortunately, the Freep are assholes and didn't give him his column back. Unfortunately, the Freep are assholes and did give a column to Crash. Just kidding, kid. Congrats and good luck. Interesting to note about Crash's column is that he named it after a Slow Kids sketch that I named (God Hates a Whiner), so it has my blessing. Apparently, Styx and DJ are both going to be doing cartoons. God help us all, in a good way.
