I love my wife moment #1 billion: Last night, from some deep recess of Brooke's subconscious, she referred to me as the "handsomest man in Eternia." I love my wife.
Meanwhile, back in the outside world, things fare less well, although I remain optimistic. For starters, I got my first official rejection today of my comic writing career. I know it's to be one of many, so I'm not really feeling too down about it, and at least it was a "That's not something we're looking for" rather than a "You suck." Although maybe I do suck and they're afraid to tell me because of who I am. Always a possibility.
My kitty is also sick. In fact, the vet had been telling my mom that she had cancer and to put her down immediately because she wasn't eating and she was starving, until I went over to the house with a different brand of cat food and she started gobbling it down. Then he said that it might be an infection. The fact that he had us putting her to sleep is profoundly disturbing. Don't get me wrong, she's 16, but as long as she's not in any pain I still want to keep her around. She's a great cat.
This week I may actually be getting a free Game Cube and Game Boy Advance. I'll let you know what happens.
