Howdy, folks! I'm back from New Orleans with a Calvacade of Pictures! Come along and look, won't you?
We'll begin on the airplane. Everyone knows how hilarious the SkyMiles catalogue can be, since it yielded the famous Tiny Biclycle of Slow Kids poster fame. This time the humor comes from the fact that the child in this picture seems to have no sense of irony, nor shame.
More SkyMall madness. Pop quiz. Is this A) A smoke detector that wakes a child with the sound of your own voice, or B) A giant floating robot eyeball that screeches at your child in the night? I think you know the answer.
We did a lot of stuff in New Orleans. A lot. We packed a ton into a relatively short vacation.
Here are just some of the things we did:
Brooke rode a streetcar and looked glamorous and mysterious:

I rode a streetcar and looked sunburnt:
I stood sugestively by a cannon:

We visited a couple of their famous graveyards and were looked down upon by angels:
We went to a wax museum, where the Phantom of the Opera was very perturbed about having his mask removed:
We rode a steamboat on the Mississippi River, but before we rode it we stood outside it and had our picture taken:
We took a LOT more pictures. 6 rolls' worth. That's just a tasting. Looks like fun though, huh? We've decided it was the best vacation ever, which made going back to real life that much suckier.
And here are some miscellaneous images:
Here's my lovely wife with the beginning stages of our custom-made "chandelleir" or however the hell you spell that, that she made herself:

Here's my lovely wife being lovely:

Here's me with my new laptop, the very one I'm currently typing this on. Weird. Notice too my Boba Fett bust. I'm a sex machine.

Here's me at Passover, looking about as Jewish as you'll ever see me look:

Here's a lovely picture Brooke took of me standing in the last big snowstrom of the winter:
And here's a lovely picture Brooke took of her waking me up by taking my picture:

Posted by: Deuce on May 31, 2004 9:57 PMThanks, Deuce. I should provide the disclaimer that Brooke found both of those SkyMall photos. She started giggling and I said, "What are you laughing at?" Then she showed me the robo-eye and I burst into laughter on the plane.
