Congrats to the Bencics, who don't read this website, but congrats anyway. They gave birth to their son Anthony yesterday, and he looks amazing. Now I want one. Don't you too?
The Chicago Tribune names the top 50 magazines in the country. Registration required. I'll save you the effort and skip to the good part:
"47. ToyFare. Three words: "Twisted ToyFare Theater." Collectible figures do and say things obviously not condoned by their corporate owners in a feature so popular, it's anthologized outside the magazine. Example: Comic book villains play the board game Risk and recount naughty anecdotes of world domination while harassing the pizza boy. Oh, it's also a price guide and irreverent toy industry magazine."
That's right, bitches.
I find myself reading more and more liberal blogs and news sites lately. I guess I just love being outraged. Thankfully, the administration seems to be doing a pretty good job of destroying themselves, so us Dems shouldn't have too much work to do in the fall, which is good, because we hate work and loves the hand-outs.
I do have to share, however, possibly the funniest political thing I've read in a while, and I only share it because I think it will appeal to the sense of humor of a lot of my friends. The Republican National Committee recently released an online game called Kerryopoly, which seeks to show how hard it would be for the average person to achieve the lifestyle of that mean, rich John Kerry. Now, check out this section from the AP article. This is a direct quote, now.-
"Three leading Republicans in the federal government — President Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee — are multimillionaires. Asked Tuesday if their lifestyles also were out of reach of most Americans, RNC spokeswoman Christine Iverson responded "no" but declined to elaborate."
Did you see that?!? "No." That's fucking awesome. I'm going to start using that. "Hey, Justin, didn't I ask you to get that story in by yesterday afternoon?" "No." Walk away. My life is going to be so much better now.
