A Decade Underthe Influence

It's hard for me to believe myself, but 10 years ago today a girl named Brooke asked me out and I said yes.

It's so weird to think back on those times, not only because we were so unbelievably young (she asked me out in a letter passed between midterms in the hall) but because we've both changed so much since then.

I'll say this, though. All my changes that have been for the better are because of her. I'll never stop feeling lucky that she loves me. It's the greatest miracle I've ever experienced.

Sorry to get sappy, folks, but we don't get another 10 year anniversary for another 8 years (that'll be the wedding one). Everyone who reads this, everyone who cares about me should thank this woman, because I am who I am because of her love.

Thanks, sweety.

Links, sausage and other

Two links for you today. First of all, my new Book of Shenanigans entry is up here. I have no idea what the hell I was thinking when I was writing this one.

Secondly, the guy who owns the company that's putting my comic out did an interview and mentions my book. Awesome! I feel so cool and nerdy, simultaneously.

Shenanigans Ensue

My new Book of Shenigans entry is up, finally, almost a week and a half late. It's not my strongest, so don't feel you need to read it though. :) Hopefully the one that's supposed to be up tomorrow won't be a week and a half late as well.

Immediate plans:
Tonight - eat steak, watch Lost on tape from last night.
This weekend - get snowed in, hopefully write something
Next Friday - my first column published in the local paper. I'll link here. The title hasn't been determined yet.

Content (Emphasis on first syllable)

Okay, I refuse to get my 10,000th page view with a blank front page. So a few words on why I've been too busy to post lately:

-We're closing an issue.

-I've been writing try-out columns for a local paper. I've missed being a columnist.

-I'm too important for you people.

So there you go. The comic drags slowly onward, as the art team gets accustomed to working with each other. I'll show you some finished artwork when I get some finished artwork.

Laters!
